Level 1 layouts are the entry point into Octopus Deploy and are often the first pages customers interact with. Their primary purpose is to establish a hierarchical context by acting as the top-level structure for any workflow, process, or section. These layouts provide a clear starting point, helping users orient themselves and navigate deeper into the experience.

Overview
Level 1 pages represent the first layer in the Octopus deploy workflow (e.g. Projects, Tenants, Tenant Tag Sets, Deployment Targets etc). They segment the product's core function areas, as defined by the main navigation, and serve as the foundation for navigating to key features.
These pages are starting points intended to guide users towards the areas they need by providing clear pathways into specific workflows or tasks.
Layout structure
The layout structure or 'anatomy' of Level 1 pages is designed to support a mixture of content container types but must always include the header area. The template also reserves space for optional elements like error messages, progress indicators, etc. Regardless of optional content, all Level 1 pages must include:
- Header: This is the main header area with a title. A page action is strongly encouraged in this section, though some exceptions may apply where it's not required.
- Content: The main content area of the page.
